About theater, experience, and emotions

Margo Hoynovska

I am a professional actress, speech therapist, and educator with a PhD in Fine Arts and over three decades of experience on stage, in the classroom, and in therapeutic settings. My journey began with a Master’s in Puppet Acting and continued through postgraduate studies in speech therapy, pedagogy, and voice rehabilitation.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of performing in dozens of stage productions, monodramas, and screen roles. At the same time, I’ve developed a deep passion for voice — not only as an artistic tool but also as a subject of therapy and education. I conduct theatre and voice workshops for young people and adults, help rehabilitate voices affected by strain or illness, and teach techniques in speech projection and self-presentation.

As Vice President of the Theatre Song Association, I lead cultural projects supported by local and EU funds. I coordinate events, write grants, and bring creative ideas to life — always with people and their voices at the center of my work.

“M. Hoynovska is an ambitious person with a high degree of professional creativity and exceptional reliability in her work — something I had the opportunity to witness while working with her at the Toruń theatre on the production of Cinderella by Jan Brzechwa.
She possesses a genuine passion for both theatre and education. From a theoretical standpoint, she is thoroughly prepared for teaching, which is clearly reflected in her professional successes.”

Theatrical Services

I offer theater workshops, individual consultations, and educational programs in the field of performing arts and voice projection. My classes are held in a warm, supportive atmosphere that fosters creativity and personal growth. Many friendships are formed during the workshops, and participants often stay in touch for years. The skills developed during our sessions—such as clear expression, confidence, body awareness, and emotional presence—are not only essential for stage work, but also prove invaluable in everyday life and professional settings. Whether you're preparing for the stage, public speaking, or simply looking for a creative outlet, you're welcome to join and grow with us!

Participants are introduced to the actor’s craft through work on body language, voice projection, text interpretation, and the construction of authentic stage characters. They learn to understand the importance of the body and voice as expressive tools, the analysis of dramatic texts, and how to build dramatic tension with intention and subtlety.

Through this process, students develop:

  • emotional intelligence and artistic sensitivity,

  • public speaking skills and stage presence,

  • the ability to collaborate and connect with an audience,

  • and a deeper understanding of art and culture.

These workshops are especially valuable for those considering careers in the arts, education, media, or any field that requires confident and expressive communication. But even beyond the professional realm, they nurture personal confidence, empathy, and cultural awareness.

Whether you're looking to step into the spotlight or simply wish to reconnect with your creativity and voice—these sessions are a meaningful and transformative experience.

Through acting games, improvisation, voice, and movement, children learn to express themselves, collaborate with others, and gain confidence on stage and in life. Why should your child join theater classes?                   Emotional Development – children learn to recognize and express emotions, helping them better understand themselves and others.
Confidence Building – performing in front of others helps overcome shyness and builds self-esteem.
Imagination & Creativity – creating stories, characters, and scenes stimulates creative thinking.

As part of my artistic and educational program, I offer handicraft workshops including macramé, crocheting, and knitting. These creative sessions are designed for both youth and adults, and serve as a meaningful extension of my theater and voice training approach.Working with your hands can be deeply calming and rewarding. For shy individuals, handicraft activities provide a relaxed environment that encourages conversation and connection. For emotionally intense or hyperactive participants, the focused and rhythmic nature of handwork helps in regulating emotions and building patience. These sessions are not only soothing and grounding, but they also:

  • improve fine motor skills and concentration,

  • stimulate creativity and imagination,

  • support emotional balance and mindfulness,

  • promote collaboration and social bonding in a non-verbal, low-pressure setting.

Sumi-e – Japanese Ink Painting and Relaxation Workshops.

Expressive Arts Workshops

🌿 What is Sumi-e?Sumi-e (墨絵) is a traditional Japanese ink painting technique with roots in Tang Dynasty China (7th–10th century). It was brought to Japan during the Muromachi period (14th–16th century) by Zen Buddhist monks.

It is more than just a painting technique – it is also a form of meditation in motion.

Each brushstroke reflects the artist’s breath, presence, and state of mind. According to Zen philosophy:

"A single brushstroke contains an entire life.”

Sumi-e is created using simple, natural tools:

  • Ink (sumi) – traditionally made by grinding an ink stick on a stone with water,

  • Brushes (fude) – soft bristles that allow for expressive and versatile strokes,

  • Rice paper (washi) – delicate and highly absorbent, demanding precision,

  • sometimes finished with a personal seal (hanko).

Style and Philosophy

  • Minimalism – Sumi-e does not aim to reproduce reality in detail but to capture its essence.

  • Simplicity and silence – a few black lines can depict mountains, bamboo, birds, or flowers.

  • Mindfulness – each painting is created in one flow; there is no correction, so every gesture becomes a form of meditation.

        Benefits of Practicing Sumi-e

  • reduces stress and tension (through breath and focus),

  • cultivates patience and mindfulness,

  • enhances creativity and intuition,

  • improves hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills,

  • offers both an aesthetic and spiritual experience – art as a path to relaxation.

      During our workshops you will:

  • learn basic brush techniques,

  • create simple motifs such as bamboo, orchids, mountains, or birds,

  • experience art as meditation and relaxation,

  • design your own Japanese-style composition.

No previous art experience is required – Sumi-e is      for anyone who wishes to pause, breathe, and discover the beauty of simplicity.

Macramé – Creative Relaxation Workshops What is Macramé?

Macramé is a traditional handcraft technique based on tying decorative knots, without the use of needles or crochet hooks. Its origins date back to ancient times, and today it is experiencing a renaissance as an art form that combines creativity, aesthetics, and mindfulness.

It is not only a way to create beautiful objects – it is also a form of relaxation and meditation. The repetitive rhythm of knotting soothes the mind, develops focus, and helps release everyday stress.

Tools and Materials

In our workshops we use natural, eco-friendly materials such as:

  • cotton cords,

  • wooden rings, beads, and sticks,

  • scissors and simple accessories.

This makes macramé both accessible and sustainable.

Benefits of Practicing Macramé

  • reduces stress and tension,

  • improves manual dexterity and coordination,

  • develops patience and concentration,

  • provides satisfaction from creating unique works – from wall hangings to jewelry and home décor.

Macramé Workshops at Artcademy

During the workshops you will:

  • learn the basic knots and techniques,

  • create your own decoration step by step,

  • explore different styles and design patterns,

  • experience the creative process as a form of relaxation and mindfulness.

These workshops are open to everyone – regardless of age or artistic experience. All you need is curiosity, a bit of patience, and the willingness to try something new.

🌿 Macramé is an art that teaches us beauty lies in simplicity, and every knot can become part of a bigger story.
